How Do Royalties Work?

Whenever your music is bought, streamed or played back platforms we distribute to will pay royalties for this. We collect recording royalties directly from the platforms.

Mechanical and Publishing royalties are collected separately via royalty societies. You will need to register with a PRO and other collection societies for this. We hope to introduce Publishing royalty collections in the future.

They will pay these royalties to us, normally after three months, and send us a report.

When we receive this, we'll process it and log the royalties against your account, but we'll deduct a 10% fee from any positive amounts. All of this is displayed transparently such as in the screenshot below:

If any platform deducts any amount (such as Spotify for artificial streams) we pass this on directly and do not add any additional fees for this.
